Final Disciplinary Action
If a physician has been the subject of final disciplinary action
by a regulatory authority, that will be noted in the individual
physician’s profile, unless:
| a) |
the final disciplinary action was taken before January 1,
2001.

| b) |
the final disciplinary action was taken after January 1, 2001
and before October 31, 2005 and the tribunal issuing it ordered
that the physician’s name not be published for any
reason. |
| c) |
the final disciplinary action was taken after October 31, 2005
and the tribunal issuing it ordered that the
physician’s name not be published to protect the
privacy of a patient or a patient’s family or the
safety of any person. |
Inquiries regarding final disciplinary action by this College
before January 1, 2001 should be directed to College
staff. Information regarding final disciplinary action
will remain on the profile site for ten years from the date of the
decision.
For final disciplinary decisions issued by the College, a link
is provided to the College’s publication respecting
that decision. For discipline issued in other
jurisdictions, questions should be directed to the regulatory
authority that issued the discipline.
Where a physician initiates an appeal of a disciplinary action,
the profile must include that information.
